I have been working at L-3 Communications full-time (More than a year)

Pros

The pay is good but its contract work.

Cons

Management gives direction but no methods or instructions of how they want things accomplished. They dont act on their own ethical principles, but expect you to in return. They are quick to shoot first then ask questions later. The "Good old boy" network is well in effect with this company. they let their personal feelings affect their judgement of good hard working people. If you stand up for yourself, you get laidoff or fired.

Advice to Management

it doesnt matter, they never listen. if its not about the dollar, its not their concern. They should work on improving their leadership and not just relocate management from other L-3 failed sites. They should provide leadership training, and work toward improvement through their people and take a hard look at upper management which never seems to change, but they stay constant.

I worked at L-3 Communications as an intern

    Pros

I really enjoyed working with many of the people at the company. They paid me well considering my position.

    Cons

Since the defense market is shrinking, it's meant that there's a lot of downsizing, which is more to do with the economy than anything.
