Pros

I couldn't find noticeable pros in this company. Few things I noticed are

1. For late nights, weekend and holidays work, employees get free lunch & dinner
2. For late stay after midnight 12, employees will get one pocket “Good Day" biscuits

Cons

1. Offer Package

Although the package seems to be a huge amount, a chunk of it is categorized as quarterly bonus and annual bonus. Your salary will be 65% monthly take home and 35 % quarterly bonus. Annual bonus is like earning peanuts. Quarterly bonus is regular till you submit your resignation. Notice period is for three months, so that quarterly bonus (35% of the salary) is earned by the company not by the employee.

2. Work Culture

You will be working around the clock, means you start the day at 9 am and end up around 4 am next day morning. Your manager will ensure that you again start the next day by 9 am by setting status meeting at 9 am. Even though we are dependant animals, work culture consider you as an independent animal. So you will be working on every weekends and holidays. Schedules are prepared such a way that the employees are forced to work late nights. This in turn impacts the employee physically and mentally

3. H1B Bond

Company tries to get 2year bond normally from employees. All employees not included in this category and are technically sound are offered with H1B visa. The clauses of H1B visa are to stay in company for 22 months or pay a penalty of 1.2 Lakh with interest to the company if breaching the contract period. The important point to notice is that signing this agreement makes you eligible for penalty not the H1B petition approval. This agreement is collected to hold the employee with the company, not for H1B.

4. Notice Period Work Culture

If you are good resource, you will be working on tough schedules doing your notice period, although it’s meant for ramp down of your tasks and KT till your relieving day. If you protest against the impractical schedules, you will receive manager threats against your relieving date.

 5. Quality Of work

Project scope and resource allocation never matches. Estimations are usually done based on paper weight of the SRS document not on functional points. Schedules include weekends and holidays while setting project calendar. This is yet another reason for forced late nights and weekend stretches. Team very soon loses the working spirit and the quality of work decreases.

Advice to Management

1. Each Business unit management is focused to project higher turn over compared to other business units. To achieve this they kill employees. Best BU award should be gained on lowest attrition rate and highest employee satisfaction not only on highest profit earning BU.

2. Employees are not machines; they are social animals who need to have a work - home balance.

3. "Buildings are there, machineries are there but employees are our true asset." Is well said. Employees join this company based on belief they have on the brand name, but after joining they really regret their decision. Senior management should at least try to remember the above statement of Father of L&T.

    Pros

    1).Good environment for learning and growth
    2).Good exposure to international environment. Everyone gets a chance to work with Client directly
    3). Good technologies to work on and challenging projects

    Cons

    1).Lack of visibility
    2).Some things won't get done if you don't follow up repeatedly.
    3).Going through the growing phase and learning by making mistakes.

    Advice to Management

    Please ..Please don't hire People from Manufacturing background people as Project Manager..Since they really doesn't What is going on the IT Competition would..They simply seat and sru the employees.

    Pros

    Excellent Training
    Fun Environment
    Good Colleagues
    Market comparable salaries.

    Cons

    Extremely bad immediate seniors (although It is specific to project)
    Bad in the sense in my project my seniors were good for nothing, but whenever a task gets completed they used to take full credit of that in front of senior management.

    Lots of hierachy.
    Tech lead ( he was technically zero)

    Advice to Management

    They knew what's happening in the team or how good their tech leads are, but still don't do any thing.
