I have been working at L3 Technologies full-time (More than 5 years)

Pros

* Great benefits
* Pay is very competitive
* Some of the most dedicated employees in the aviation industry

Cons

* "Be thankful you have a job" is a favorite quote of management and staff.
* If you want an opportunity to advance, you will need to leave and then come back.
* The Good Ol' Boy network is very much alive and well at L-3 in Greenville, regardless of any
  previous experience you may have, they refuse to utilize it. Instead, they insure that their "chosen
  few" be afforded all the jobs that get them "on-the-spot awards" and everyone else is given the dirty
  work.
* Will pressure employees into working overtime.

Advice to Management

* Listen to your people. . . They may actually know what they are talking about!
* Stop basing your schedule on your employees working 6 or 7 days a week, we have families just
  like you do!

    Pros

    Engineers were allowed to develop projects and not micromanaged.

    Cons

    Disorganized and overbudget is not a way to go through life

    Advice to Management

    Really could benefit by adding earned value management tools to the PMO.

    Pros

    They do have some cool contracts, and nifty clients.

    Cons

    The managers are not really qualified, most got their jobs through attrition and being 'last man standing'.
