Pros

LAMMICO is a rare place where every employee understand and is committed to the same goal of serving our insureds. It is refreshing and gratifying to work at such a beautiful, respectful, and engaging environment where employees are like-minded, focused but kind and team-oriented. I feel blessed to have found such a great home for my talents and time. Organization is committed to training and development with great benefits.

Cons

Small organization with very little turnover can translate into few opportunities for moving up, but not lack of developmental or training opportunities.

Pros

LAMMICO's biggest strength in my opinion is its people. As a relatively small company with under 200 employees, I feel like I am able to get to know my coworkers pretty well, and all of them really are fantastic people. Upper management clearly does have a focus on taking care of the employees as well, which is made apparent by the competitive standard benefits package (medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as 401k match) as well as additional benefits such as charitable donation matches, a wellness benefit for things like gym membership, and employee appreciation events throughout the year. LAMMICO also strives for a very healthy work-life balance. Most departments will let in-person employees work from home 1-2 days a week, and most managers are very flexible when working with employees to accommodate scheduling as needed. From what I have seen, many current employees have been with LAMMICO for 10+ years, with some having tenures as long as 30+ years. I think this is a rarity in the industry, as the norm seems to be job-hopping every 3-5 years elsewhere. I think this speaks to the overall culture at LAMMICO, that so many people are building decades long careers with one company.

Cons

Some technology implementation is slow-going, and training can be somewhat "hands-off" at times. I find it best to ask a lot of questions when learning new skills/tools. Most people are happy to help, but you do need to be a self-starter at times.
