      Pros

LEEP is a wonderful school! The new leadership has helped me grow as an educator immensely. They really look out for their staff and help in anyway they can. They truly care about bettering your craft. Leadership is always available for any questions, concerns or even just to check in. I feel the ALEGRIA in every classroom I walk into. The students and families make all the hard work worth it! I love how everyone single person in the building works together making your work life much easier.

      Cons

Lots of work but you grow and learn from all of it.

        Pros

Loving and respectful environment. Parents, students, administration as well as the Ops team work hard as a team to build a loving, fun and respectful educational environment.

        Cons

If you love teaching then you are here to TEACH. If you want to do the opposite of TEACHING then this is not the place for you.

          Pros

The families are really thankful towards hard working teachers and ops members often make due with what they have.

          Cons

Teachers are extremely overworked and underpaid. Several classrooms are not in compliance with district policies and there are constant IEP violations. There are often times ICT classrooms without two teachers and school aides substituting classes. There is very little structure and many administrative vacancies that urgently need to be filled so students receive all the support the school has promised the community. High teacher and student turn-over rate. Promises a quality dual language education but has focused more on teaching towards standardized testing and has abandoned its mission as a dual language program prioritizing English reading instruction.

        Interview Tips

Feel free to post any interview questions you might be asked and I’ll help you compose an effective response :)

        Graduate Student

Hi! Looking for some advice regarding hiring processes. I completed 2 interviews with the company and they emailed to say they "want to put me forward for the job" and asked for references, passport, and for me to do a background check. I didn't hear anything for a week, so then emailed to check on my application status. They responded saying they would get back at the end of that week. Its been 2 weeks since. I emailed last week to ask for an update and have not received a response. Thoughts?

Got booted from my former position about 4 years ago, which I LOVED. I have the impression I was "kept" in sympathy. Now that I have my feet beneath me, I feel like I'm running in place. Over the past 2 years, I've probably applied for about 100 positions in other departments. True, a few were unlikely moonshots, but for the most part I didn't misrepresent myself. Am I the world's worst interviewer? Otherwise.. shouldn't I have been accepted elsewhere, by choice?

        Administrative Assistant

I haven't worked since Jan. 2020 when my job as administrative assistant for the Hospitalist group was eliminated. I can't begin to count the number of applications submitted, interviews I've had, jobs that I was told were mine then they weren't, etc. Several jobs have fallen through or not panned out. I am not a job hopper and want to stay where I go. I have a zoom interview tomorrow for a front desk receptionist position at an oral surgeon's office. Any interview tips are appreciated.
