Pros

A quickly growing brand in the US market with plenty of room to grow

Cons

Exceptionally poor communication between the local US subsidiary and corporate divisions in Korea leads to lack of trust from local employees and customers.

Advice to Management

Quickly promote innovators and leaders with a more global outlook. Get rid of the many dinosaurs in management that spend all their time focusing on internal politics and no time thinking about customers, innovation and fast execution.

    Pros

Only good for career path. Too many Americans in higher management ruining the balance of work life in my opinion. Management needs to be reviewed and not employee in their performance management . Employees are working extremely hard as is senior management, but sernior management does pushes employees more causing burn out.

    Cons

does not provide a balance between life and work. Only believe work is most important and life is not. Believe they must work 12 hours a day while family and loved ones dont see you and marriage and normal life becoming almost non existant. Happiness in the work place is most important for stability and increase employee performance.

    Advice to Management

Must know most employees work hard at work, but know they have lives after work and need to maintain a balance of life and work.

    Pros

Excellent benefits, 401k, cheap cafeteria, free coffee.

    Cons

Unfortumately, LG is a revolving door, leaving employee morale is extremely poor. The bright and talented staff are not promoted/rewarded, therefore they most often leave...forcing others to pick-up job responsibilities until replacement are brought in a trained. Job objectives are changed what seems like almost daily and deadlines are pretty extreme, forcing employees to work insane hours. For example, you'll get a sudden deadline passed down from senior management from Korea just before 5:00pm, and you must finish that night meaning you almost regularly work 12 hour shifts. Also, approximately 50% of the work population is Korean in the headquarters offices, so if you cannot deal with ultra-diversity...it's not for you.

    Advice to Management

Set realistic business goals and stick to them, so that employees can meet their objectives. Less micromanagement to allow employees to make decisions. Stop laying off so burn-out doesn't occur, causing the remaining employees to pick-up work assignments and ultimately deciding to leave the company. Seriously need to invest in better infrastructure (Building Services, General Affairs and IT), so that staff can work effectively and efficiently, rather than also having to act as IT techs, cleaning staff and mail clerks taking away from time to do the jobs they were hired to do.
