I have been working at LSI full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Great benefits, strong team of engineers

    Cons

Marketing dept SVP has no direct marketing exp and not a strong leader, completely silo org, disconnected with the business units. Lot's of capable people - but absolutely no leadership. In addition, the entire team is confused as to their roles and responsibilities. A few legacy staff make everyone's life miserable.

    Advice to Management

Strong leaders provide vision and coaching - not simply "hire and fire" mentality. There should be clear roles and responsibilities. BUs are best served by having outbound marketing as part of their team - not by outsourcing it to corporate marketing.
