I worked at Landmark Medical Center part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The patients are the only good thing about this hospital! If you are Disrespectful, Rude, and feel like you are above what your unit manager ask of you ? Then, this will be the place for you to work. You are never held accountable for your actions ,or lack of work ethic, laziness is accepted as long as you show up for work, you are guarenteed a job

    Cons

Lacts strong leadership. Management lacks the abilty to actually manage their staff. The hospital is run by senior staff that refuses to care for patients in a professional manner. Lack of respect for any person of authority let alone fellow nurses . Lack of adequate supplies to safely care for patients. More time spent " looking for supplies" then actual patient care. Units carry no nourishment worth speaking of for patients. Management feels that a crushed graham cracker and generic gingerale ( if even stocked on the floor) is what our patients are worth! A complete embarassment when having to explain this to patients . The same napkins used to put water pitchers on are the same hard rough ones used to provide personal care to the patients !

    Advice to Management

You all need to get on the same page. Staff development needs to be top priority. For the actual, very few ,nurses, you've managed to retain, that actualy truely care about making Landmark Medical Center a hospital they can say they are proud to work at, you need to clean house of all the Toxic negative staff that truely make working there a daily negative experience. Make staff accountable for their behavior and their " I am not doing what they ask attitude " its gone on too long and you are loosing good, professional staff!T he ones you mange to retain follow in the foot steps of the laziness and unprofessionalism that is now know as Landmark Medical Center !
