Pros

Salary is on the high end of the industry, locations pretty much everywhere, Its a well known company and the name would look good on your resume, real potential to grow if you are willing to play the politics,

Cons

Company is too fat, too many politics, doesnt feel like a modern company, Senior Managment feel to comfortable with the routine they have, in over 4 years Ive been with the company I havent seen any changes, not even menus.

Advice to Management

Lets make the company more 21st century, lots of paper work for nothing, 45 items on the menu???? come on lets do 12 items perfectly instead of running 45 min tickets .

    Pros

    The payroll is on time.

    Cons

Being treated like a expense instead of a valued member of company. Senior Management treat the people who actually do the work like the workers are anti-company. Any suggestions to improve procedures are seen as a plot to steal or get out of work. The open door policy to question policy is used to find and terminate workers who feel that senior management decisions can be improved upon. Unless you are on the corporate level, you will find no respect from the Landry Company. Their plan to put everyone on Part time status to save paying benefits creates a hard ship for the employees who are trying to make a life for their families.

    Advice to Management

Senior Management should be listening to people who know the business. Don't make decisions before knowing the business you are in. Casino and Food outlets are very different in the way they are run.

    Pros

Landry's offers its employees many benefits at corporate. Employees are given a week of vacation after only 6 months of employment, and offers health care at a reasonable rate, 50% discount at most of its restaurants like Saltgrass (mmm good) Landry's, Babins, 25% at its signature restaurants like Grotto, La Griglia, Willie G's, Pesce, Brenner's, and Vic and Anthony's , and an onsite gym. Office holiday parties were also a great addition to the job.

    Cons

Movement up in the company is slow, and can be a challenge if you don't speak up to your supervisors about interests of doing so. Pay wasn't so great at least for the position I held.

    Advice to Management

    Fair compensation to employees.
