I have been working at LanguageLine Solutions full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

great interpreting experience, freedom to work with minimum to no supervision. Salary is low but also must consider you are working from home with no telecommuting expenses at all.

Cons

any schedule change, day off or any other change you may want to make will be denied with no further consideration.

Advice to Management

You are in control of the whole interpreting market area in the country, keep your staff happy and offer a five stars service or you will lose your hegemony.

    Pros

    Work at home.....work at home....work at home.

    Cons

    1. Pay
    2. You have to make sure every call you answer are written on the paper, so you can double check they pay you right. If they miss the call/minutes, it takes month for them to pay you.

    Pros

    1. Great training programs.
    2.High call volume, great for people who are interested in practcing their consecutive interpretation skills.
    3. Work from home.

    Cons

    1. Not very flexible work schedule.
    2. Could be very stressful when the call volume is too high.
    3. Pay is too low. I felt like a machine.

    Advice to Management

    While the CEO is always talking about how to help people to communicate through the interpretation service, is it right to ignore the fact that the company has been treating the interpreters with no respect and very llittle pay? That made me so sad.
