I have been working at Latin School of Chicago full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Administration assumes you are doing a great job. I worked in Chicago Public Schools, and the sentiment was the opposite...you were assumed to not be competent. You have access to supplies, resources, time, and

Cons

It can be stressful to work for a parent community that is very involved. Don't get me wrong though, parents are, on the whole, are extremely supportive and support the teachers.

I have been working at Latin School of Chicago part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

The Latin School of Chicago encourages diversity within their employment process, which is very important to myself. Some of the pros to working at the Latin School would have to be the close community you belong; the friendly staff, and they encourage you to strive for greatness in your job and future.

    Cons

The office assistant position is only a 10 month out of the year job.
