I have been working at Laureate Education part-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Reason to stay? Not much, except for group health insurance.

    Cons

How about getting less than 850 dollars in your paycheck each month and teaching a science course? As stated above, you get as much as the kid teaching the drums. Actually, they are paid better than you are! Respect, not to be found here.

They recently hired different Faculty Excellence staff and pay is based on retention. You get nothing if you teach English, mathematics or science. You need to work harder and harder and harder, as your pay drops further and further down.

These are the rock of education but also have the highest dropout rates! You get the base salary each month for the majority of the classes. I have seen my salary plummet 30,000 in 2 years.

I have noticed in the last year old faculty are quitting and newer faculty are coming on board more and more. They are creating their own revolving door of faculty; eventually training costs will be become apparent.

    Advice to Management

Start paying better and not on retention rates.

I worked at Laureate Education full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Location, vending machines, co-workers, benefits

    Cons

Everything else,.......seriously,....everything else. You really have to work here to understand. I recommend you run,....and fast,...but if you choose to test this organization, good luck.

    Advice to Management

Common sense will give you the answers. When you hear it, listen.
