Neutral Outlook

I worked at Lawrence Technological University as a contractor (More than 5 years)

Pros

Academic freedom, aptitude of students, availability of technology and resources to instructors, laid back atmosphere for instructors, overall very great place to teach

Cons

No real cons to speak of, but the salary is across the board, regardless of degree (bachelor to PhD) which didn't always sit well with all the instructors.

Advice to Management

Involve adjuncts more in the processes, more standardized curriculum for freshman level classes

    Pros

It's a well established university with a good reputation in the region. positive environment with a comfortable atmosphere. students are motivating when they receive help.

    Cons

At the position that i had as an advisor was targeting the graduate students in their program, therefore the compensation was very minimal.

    Advice to Management

Give the freshmen student advisers a larger compensation, or maybe instead of compensation reward them with school credit to pay some of the tuition.
