    I worked at LeadingAge full-time

    Pros

Very warm and friendly staff, who, for the most part, genuinely care about you.
They organize many activities for the staff to make it a fun workplace.
Many employees have been there for 10+ years so have a lot of knowledge.
They are genuinely trying to make America a better place to grow old.

    Cons

Many employees have been there for 10+ years, so there's little opportunity for advancement or promotions.
There's no transparency about how to get a promotion, raise, or bonus.
No annual bonus. (They give you a $100 bill at Christmas, which is weird/insulting).
Work/Life balance and ability to telework varies greatly depending on the team.
HR department is not very professional and rarely present during the workday.
Health insurance premiums triple with the addition of a single dependent.
Minimal diversity at the higher levels (many women, but largely white).
Senior staff rarely participate in sponsored activities, so participation is limited because junior staff don't always feel comfortable participating.

    Advice to Management

More transparency around advancement and promotions.
Stop looking at the average years of service and look at the mean (those employees who've been there for 40 years are masking a retention problem with younger staff).
