Pros

Good pay and cool office location

Cons

Cool product idea and some fantastic people. Very narcissistic approach to management at the very top that diminishes experienced voices and creates a looming hostile vibe. Very little sense of culture which is disappointing for an LA startup.

Pros

At LeaseLock, I get to work at the forefront of the insurtech industry, transforming rental housing with innovative solutions. The collaborative culture and focus on continuous improvement mean I’m constantly learning and growing, while also contributing to a mission that makes housing more accessible. Leadership is transparent, supportive, and encourages work-life balance, making it easy to feel valued and empowered. With cutting-edge technology, diverse teams, and opportunities for development, I enjoy both the excitement of a startup environment and the stability of a well-established company, all while making an impact in a meaningful industry.

Cons

One potential con of working at LeaseLock could be that the fast-paced, innovative environment means there’s never a dull moment, which might feel overwhelming to those who prefer a slower work pace. Another is that the commitment to continuous learning and development means you’re always challenged to grow, which may not suit someone looking for a more static role. However, for those who thrive on growth and staying ahead of the curve, these "cons" are more like opportunities!

Pros

- Innovative product with strong market potential - Talented, hard-working colleagues (many of whom are no longer with the company) - Once had a great culture and sense of purpose

Cons

- The CEO has shifted the culture dramatically, making the company feel more like a “RealPage 2.0” than the agile, mission-driven startup it once was - Favoritism is rampant; if you’re not part of her inner circle, your contributions seem to hold little value - Many of the original team members who built the foundation of LeaseLock have been laid off, forced out, or have quit due to the toxic leadership environment - Transparency is virtually nonexistent – employees are often left in the dark about company performance and direction The overall morale has plummeted, and it’s clear that respect for employees is no longer a priority
