Their mission to vertically integrate MEP and focus on sustainability is laudable. I would say many of the companies acquired were decent companies.
Cons
P2S has been acquired by Legence for approximately 1 year and all of our benefits have been significantly eroded. Healthcare costs have skyrocketed between 2-3x higher, The "flexible non-accrual PTO policy" is set up to terminate people with no clear guidelines of expectations. Changes to software in the interest of "security" are set to completely destroy many work processes with no clear remediation, and the project accounting is performative to keep Legence happy. There is no clear future to performance-based incentives, and seemingly no value in becoming a principal. Many top performers are leaving the company and the writing is on the wall.
