I have been working at Lenovo as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Location is about the only pro

    Cons

You will be lost in a sea of drones & cubes.

    Advice to Management

Take management, HR & employee relations classes. Management is completely out of touch with its employees.

I worked at Lenovo full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Growing company, moving up in industry rankings, good products.

    Cons

The pressure on employees is unbelievable. Worse, employees are treated as if they are simply bodies that can easily be replaced. Sales people, in particular, are pushed to the breaking point and often spoken to with no respect and embarrassed in front of their peers. Not much to admire in the management ranks, getting those positions is mostly political. Managers are not typically leaders or motivational, instead they like to instill fear with frequent threats.

    Advice to Management

Bring in outside assessment for management team. Ask employees what they think in a non-threatening situation, most employees are afraid of retribution if they speak up. That fear is very well-founded; we have seen many examples of retribution, including open threats and firing.
