I worked at Levi Strauss part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

-flexible hours
-learned a lot about the denim industry

Cons

-management was HORRIBLE. I dont know if it was the location where I worked at (Tustin, CA) or the whole company itself, but managers were very unprofessional. One would also hit on the female employees.

Advice to Management

Please filter out the creeps from management!

    Doesn't Recommend

    Disapproves of CEO

I worked at Levi Strauss full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

You get some great history knowledge of the brand and jeans in general.

    Cons

Poor training, high expectations with low pay, outdated computer systems, a horrible HR department, most of HR and IT is outsourced outside the country, a completely disorganized corporate system, not putting the money in the right places for improving processes, little to know room for growth.

    Advice to Management

Increases wages and hire more qualified stylists and management. Spend more time in the store to experience how much the processes are not efficient or cost effective. Weed out the REALLY bad managers in some locations.

    No opinion of CEO

I have been working at Levi Strauss as a contractor (More than a year)

    Pros

    Pretty good wage.
    Great people.
    Comfortable culture.

    Cons

In order to maintain revenue per employee ratios high, many people are contracted for years and never converted to full time employees. This keeps them from receiving benefits from Levi's.
In any large corporate environment, changes are slow to be made. Bureaucracies have byzantine methods, and it can be difficult to be productive.

    Advice to Management

    Keep chipping away
