I worked at Levi Strauss part-time (More than a year)

Pros

Some what fun work environment.
When offered flexible hours.

Cons

Management would completely ignore employee availability and schedule employees to work when it wasn't possible due to school.
Bad communication, management would say one thing and then do the complete opposite.

Advice to Management

When your employees give you their schedule actually look at it and then schedule them. Be aware of what your employees are doing so the store doesn't get robbed.

I have been working at Levi Strauss full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Some really good people. Great brand image.

    Cons

    No career growth
    Org changes every few months
    Absolutely no HR presence
Focus is only on upper management
    No more perks
    Lame on site company parties

    Advice to Management

Take a look at the people who are actually doing the work. How hard is it to promote within? You are losing a lot of really great people. It seems that all decisions are based on hierarchy. Considering the competition of companies that care about the employees, it's time to step up! Company used to be great

I worked at Levi Strauss full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

This company genuinely cares about their employees.

    Cons

The constant level of change and lack of career pathing prevent this company from providing opportunity for advancement and growth. Employees often say, the best way to get promoted at Levi's is to leave and then come back.

    Advice to Management

Figure out how to offer your employees opportunities to move forward within the company. Whether they are taking a different position on the jungle gym or being offered a promotion, there is no reason you can't figure out how to move people forward.
