Pros

Vacation, benefits reasonable compare to others in professional publishing vertical. Reasonable working environment. Competent HR group. Employees are encouraged to innovate.

Cons

No work at home allowed for technology group. There is a work-at-home policy, but it was deemed not applicable. Unclear what the career track is, no clear policy for promotion and progress.

Advice to Management

In order to be competitive with other professional publishing companies, LexisNexis leadership needs to challenge old assumptions and implement more efficient processes.

    Pros

    the job is fairly flexible in that working from home is an option for as long as you prove yourself worthy

    Cons

    The compensation is not only terrible, but very unfair. Inter departmental communication is terrible. Marketing and Sales don't get along. And lots lots more...

    LexisNexis is a successful publisher of information services with a strong pedigree in its chosen markets. It continues to aspire to move into the solution space and has had some success broadening its offerings.

    Cons

    There continues to be a reliance on the publishing business and consequently the business is struggling to transform into a broader solutions company.

    Advice to Management

    There is a need to fully drive through the solutions mentality throughout the workforce and to embrace a more structured approach to solutions sales.
