I have been working at Liberty Healthcare & Rehabilitation Services full-time

Pros

You received personalized treatment and extremely loving care from the staff at this hospice from the staff that go out and do direct patient care. The Nursing staff, Social worker, Chaplain and Aide are wonderful and easy to work with.

Cons

Have trouble getting through to the office at times. Office staff say one thing to employees and turn around and say something else to the customers. Not consistent.

Advice to Management

Be more friendly to staff and consistent in dealing with all staff members and act in a professional manner at all times.

I worked at Liberty Healthcare & Rehabilitation Services full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Pay and benefits are pretty good. Free generic scripts for employees. Good PTO as well. Staff in local offices really care about the patients they serve and work hard.

    Cons

Upper management only cares about their pockets being filled. They will find something wrong on every annual review so a raise can be taken away. Management is filled with family and friends. It's the "good ole boy" system. To much micro management takes place by ops managers who are not qualified to lead a bucket brigade!

    Advice to Management

Treat employees better and quit focusing on yourselves. It's not about you! Take care of those who take care of you. Hospice is a worthy calling. Money isn't everything. Remember you spent millions on a faulty (at best) computer system. I ought to know; I was there in the beginning when you got it. We told you it wouldn't work and you ignored those who knew best. And what happened? Now you are paying back money to the feds! All because of your arrogance and pride.

    Pros

Great people to work with, everyone is very friendly

    Cons

Jobs do not translate to careers with other companies, most of the work is administrative based and the pay is terrible even based on the economy's current situation. Company is extremely resistant to change, and continually places family members in upper level positions despite more qualifed options from the outside.
