Pros

Liberty is a large stable company that thinks long term not just short term.
Will never make a lot of money, but will always be paid adequately and make a decent living. Managers for the most part try to help develop employees if they want to.

Cons

Too much gossip and office politics. Some managers only think of short term solutions, not what is best for the long term. Too many employees do too much complaining and not enough work. There are also a lot of people who have been there a long time and have a hard time changing with the times. A lot of people do not want to learn or grow, they just want things handed to them, or get paid lots of money for not doing any work.

Advice to Management

Listen to the employees. Performance and promotional opportunities need to reflect the capabilties of the individual, not just to who management likes. Managers need experience. Too many people are fast tracked.

    Pros

There are good growth opportunuties given the fact that the company is very heterogenous. The compensation benefits are at par with market and Liberty Mutual motivates employees for advancement at both personal and career level. The teams are not huge, are right sized, there is good growth opportunity in every project.

    Cons

The close culture nature of small companies is not prevalent.

    Advice to Management

    Keep up the good work.

    Pros

good place to gain experience for career in insurance and the health benefits and 401 match are a plus, however, as much as Liberty touts the premise that it does not want employee turnover, their actions say otherwise. Best to utilize this company for experience, then move on to a company which values their employees. Very low percentage of long term sales reps, and this occurs for a reason.

    Cons

management seems to have no basic understanding of sales environment has lack of respect for employees

    Advice to Management

managment needs people with insurance sales backround at helm. Recent restructure made things even more difficult at front line sales. How does a team of non sales leaders begin to understand and lead a sales team?
