I have been working at Liberty Mutual Insurance full-time

Pros

Competitive salary structure, plenty of job opportunities, the company does it's best to show that it's active in the local community.

Cons

Have continued to cut employee benefits such as commuter passes, health insurance is only decent compared to other similar companies, continual re-organization of company leads to rampant job insecurity and issues with consistent work product.

I have been working at Liberty Mutual Insurance full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

Awesome payout on a monthly basis when goal is met. Average earnings for first year is approximately $50-$60k, and that is average.

    Cons

Consistently hiring individuals to take your place. If you do not meet your sales goal consistently, you are fired. Once you meet goal, greed takes over and corporate increases your monthly goal. In effort to obtain a promotion, your goal must be increased to an astronomical number. Pressure, pressure, pressure.

    Advice to Management

Stop handing out candy and food to show appreciation to your employees. Business meetings weekly are unnecessary for the DRC Sales department. When having hourly meetings, this cuts into the goal that must be met for the Sales Division. Poor training staff...once you are on the floor, you must learn from your associates.

I worked at Liberty Mutual Insurance full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    Independence. Flexible Schedule. Pay OK.

    Cons

Pay is just ok, comparably. Disorganized, no feeling of job security. Male dominated environment, especially when it comes to raises and promotions. Pay and performance structure making it difficult to guage or improve status. Great oppurtunities for promotion....if you are male, and due to such high turnover.

    Advice to Management

Office in desperate need of structure and unification. This, understandably, promotes the "I" vs. "WE" environment among employees, which, in turn creates SO much of the customer service breakdown. (You are your own worst enemy.)
