I have been working at Liberty Mutual Insurance full-time

    Pros

There are some great managers and senior management. If you report to them, it is a very rewarding place to work. Working from home (like 1x per week) & flexible scheduling is possible depending on manager.

The company provides a lot of training opportunities.

    Cons

There are some members of management who only care about themselves. They can impede on work/life balance.

It's a large company, so the typical red tape can be a hassle.

I have been working at Liberty Mutual Insurance full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Was allowed to telecommute saving time and money in a commute that would total 3 hours a day. Wages are good for position held and good bonuses.

    Cons

Company has decided to move operations to Eastern Washington and has ceased all telecommuting opportunities

    Advice to Management

You need to start coming into the 21st century. For those positions that can be done virtually such as claim adjusting for those who have demonstrated themselves as competent in their field, you should allow telecommuting. You get tax breaks and remove most causes of an L & I claim being filed for injuries on the work site. It also increases work/life balance and employee satisfaction.
