Really good mentorship through the team and with my mentor Hands on experience working with data that directly contributes to the team's success Handful of networking opportunities both in-person and remote Everyone at the firm is very eager to help you understand the industry or their work experiences (really easy to get coffee chats with employees) Really good work life balance but also a lot of opportunities to push yourself even as an intern if you want to be more involved
Cons
Insurance industry can be slow at times, therefore, sometimes the work isn't super interesting

Obvious pros for working at Liberty Mutual are competitive pay and benefits, respect and recognition for professional certifications and experience, immediate inclusion into regional and national risk control teams, with a real sense of open dialogue, including your point of view, Great comprehensive training across multiple lines, and policies and procedures. Great management and mentors.
Cons
Training during onboarding can be challenging to time manage when actual field work starts to take place, and the number of assignments exceed what's been described or expected. All of it is of value, the trainings, and the field work, as you onboard. The lesson is to manage your calendar. The learning curve and the work/life balance will get better once the initial onboarding phase is over.
