Pros

Its a good place to begin your career in sales/insurance. Its been a good experience overall.Their is flexibility in your schedule to balance work and family. Your first couple years you can earn some decent money!

Cons

Not much room to move up the ladder and grow due to much restructuring within. You will put in allot of time to grow your book of business!! You can burnout just trying to make numbers and exceed to make the "real" money !! Management doesn't always provide details on how to improve your process. They like their sales reps in the office everyday, when much of job can be done remotely.

Advice to Management

You must examine your compensation plan, training and recognition on a localized level and nationally. Continue to show your employees that you are dedicated to seeing them grow in their positions and that their is room to move up the ladder.

    Pros

Strong company reputation, great benefits and salary, and a great work environment. If you are a hard worker, your compensation will make you very happy. Your hours are very flexible and there are many programs for employees who would like to continue their education. There are so many different forms of recognition if you perform well.

    Cons

Micro management is a real negative at times. Things change often, sometimes without notice. Numbers are always stressed on a weekly basis, instead of looking at the larger picture. Sometimes managers rely on other employees to teach new hires essential techniques. Sure, this is a way that information is transmitted to new hires, but somethings should be taught directly by management.

    Advice to Management

Speak to your sales force about things that could be better.

    Pros

Above average pay, great bonuses each year, flex time and great work life balance. Lots of time off.

    Cons

The good employees consistently have to carry the bad employees. If you're competent, you continually will have to take over projects and assignments from others who can't handle them. Training opportunities are abundant but time to take advantage of them is limited.

    Advice to Management

Two words = Performance Management. Good employees get burned out quickly. In many areas, such as systems, all the knowledge is contained within very few resources. Other resources don't have the capability so aren't forced to learn.
