Liberty is the best company I have ever worked for. On top of the great culture and the people, they make sure the employees feel heard and valued. Development is also important at Liberty and it's a great place to build your career. I'm most impressed by how Diversity, Equity & Inclusion is prioritized within the whole company.
Cons
Perfect company does not exist but it's hard to point out a con at Liberty. Depending on your role, it may be challenging to move to a different department. But there are opportunities you can take on to develop your skills, it just takes time.

Upper-level management is a dishonest mess

Prior to the current CEO, I enjoyed working at Liberty Mutual. Good benefits, good pay, and good work/life balance. I would have given the company a 4-star review. However, leadership under the current CEO has garnered significant distrust
Cons
I along with many others at the company do not trust upper-level management. Forced return to office for all employees living within 50 miles of an office, no exceptions. Upper-level management has had significant issues with communicating the return to office plan. The initial communication for this plan was done at the tail end of a 15 minute video, hidden on a company blog page. Most managers (like my own) were not told about the existence of a RTO plan until a day or two before the video was posted on the blog. Since the initial announcement a month ago, hundreds of employees have voiced their frustrations and concerns about the lack of communication, clarification, and consideration that upper-level management has shown. This has all fallen on deaf ears. After the RTO plan was first communicated, I was promised by my manager that they received approval of me being exempted from RTO. However, I was recently informed that the company was getting rid of all exceptions, including my own. I found this out during a call with my manager, where they were crying due to the added stress that upper-level management has caused them.
