I worked at Liberty Resources (More than 5 years)

Pros

Many great people that work hard. Many worthwhile social programs with great causes.

Cons

Micromanaged to a fault. Feels like a caste system in the organization and senior management is very demanding and needy. do we really need all that nice office space and furniture? Does it make you feel important? This is a non profit run like a business.

Advice to Management

Stop hiring friends and family. Stop portraying company as "for the consumer" its all self serving

    Knowing I’m helping enriching individuals with disabilities.

    Understaffed, not appreciated by the directors and all up to Carl C.

    Advice to Management

    Improve rate of pay. $11 an hour doesn’t compete with salary elsewhere. Improve hiring process to get more staff therefore decreasing stress of your employees. Happier employees will increase their work preformance and your individuals will enjoy the happier Staff. Increase your budget to advertise Liberty Rources including with job descriptions. Many people do not know what a direct support professional is. When Staff work holidays they should get time and a half. Working straight time for holidays like Thanksgiving and Christmas isn’t enough. If Staff for example is working a 10 hour shift then in the future they should get 10 hours, not the standard 8. If there is no funds to increase Staff pay then maybe all administrative staff including the CEO should take a pay cut and reallocate those funds for bonuses or pay increase to the direct support professionals and other house support staff.
