I worked at Life Care Centers of America full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

When I started working there in 2009 it was a very family-oriented culture. Flexibility hours and the environment within the rehab gym was relax, despite how busy it was.

Cons

Senior management promotes based on patronage with unqualified managers that function as mid level. They do not know what they are doing but that is okay, senior management is the one that is actually running the department through the rehab manager.

Advice to Management

Value your senior employees, the ones that have been there for 5+ years. Promote employees within the facility and value their opinions.

    Most of the employees are great.

    Cons

    Lack of administration backing when good reviews submitted by pts/families.

    Advice to Management

    It's time to give the credit to the workers, who earn you any honors that you receive. The bucket is full, then its time to pass some of it on to the employees, and not take away any of the long term perks that they were accustomed to.

    Pros

    Friendly staff in the building I have been work.

    Cons

    Poor benefits, no oportunities for advancement, poor training, minimum tecnology available.

    Advice to Management

    Need to work with the employees, as a team, supporting their needs. A prepaired team makes a great support for managment.
