Pros

Promising technologies
Potential to develop good products
Opportunity to develop technical and soft skills
Community outreach programs can be fulfilling

Cons

Unhealthy levels of stress compounded by job security uncertainties
Poor/non-existent communication at and across sites
Doublespeak from management does not foster trust
Compensation and benefits poor at Scientist III level

Advice to Management

Own up to your responsibility to employees and not just shareholders. 83% isn't just a few unhappy people, and while it's shocking, it's also real.
Create a corporate culture of respect and diversity, not of more nauseating metrics.
Cherish dissent, those individuals care about the impact enough to risk their career

    Pros

Flex Hours. You get to come and go as you please and work from home often. But, this was probably just my group and my seniority.

    Cons

Everything else. Company lacks direction and leadership. Benefits have gone downhill. No concern about employee work/life balance. Everyone is just another cog to the money making machine.

    Advice to Management

Try to actually value your employees.

    Disapproves of CEO

    Pros

May be a first job to gain some experience before moving on.

    Cons

Mediocre mid and high level management. Leadership completely absent.

Too much favoritism being played at the mid level in recruitment and promotion.

Politics is front and center always.

HR incompetent cares only about the management and hence the management cruises along without being questioned.

Adopts a M&A strategy to grow. So you never know where you'll be in about six months.

    Advice to Management

    Unsustainable growth could be disastrous.
A change in culture is needed, for which a change in leadership might be required.
