I worked at Lifetouch full-time

Pros

The opportunity to expand your skills is definitely there for the taking. Chances are given to further your career. The ESOP is a wonderful benefit.

Cons

Promotions are hard to come by, and hard work is sometimes rewarded with more hard work.

I worked at Lifetouch as a contractor (Less than a year)

    Pros

Gas card, interesting employees, local management was helpful

    Cons

Amount of travel was more than what was explained, pay was less than originally discussed, stressful job

    Advice to Management

Notify people of exactly how far they will be driving daily, if you are going to offer a higher rate of pay when advertising then that same amount should be offered when hiring, screen applicants better - some of the people I worked with were seriously awful

I have been working at Lifetouch part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

gas card provided paid for gas to all jobs and studio but not to home. using an online tool can benifit you if it says you get a lower mpg then you actually get.
free pics and good discounts when employeed but not during layoffs.
willing to work with your schedule

    Cons

You only are suppost to get paid to go to the job site, which can be across the state, instead of one location all the time
Early hours and long days with minimal breaks, if any.
Schools do not always follow what you have on paper from office
w-2 forms are not distributed until 1/31

    Advice to Management

keep employees more local to their home location or have more offices in a variety of areas. Driving over an hour to one location is not ideal.
provide w-2s earlier especially for those who get laid off
