I worked at Lifetouch full-time (More than 8 years)

Pros

Learned everything I could even the weak spots that continue to benifits the competitors.

Cons

The way they don't treat people the same and to quick to judge people the wrong way. To the point of falsifying documents to fire you.

Advice to Management

Don't trust the people who are the quickiest in your office to tattle tale on others and step out from behind your desk to see everyone in there true form. Call some customers one on one to get feed back on where they see you can improve. After all they do make it possible for you to have a paycheck.

I worked at Lifetouch part-time (More than a year)

    Pros

You get to work with a variety of clients and bring to fruition their portrait needs. You learn how to pose and work with many ages in a short time.

    Cons

You have to take photos in 20 min increments or 10 min on very busy days. [esp during the holidays] and it becomes quite stressful. I prefer to have more time with clients, which would help people feel more comfortable, esp those under the age of 5. Another con is that you don't have that much time to be creative with each guest since it is usually rushed. So if you have a background in photography, this job destroys your creative spirit a lot of the time and you start to lose your passion for the medium that you once began with.

    Advice to Management

Focus more on quality versus quantity. I understand you want to have a lower overhead, but clients deserve better one-on-one attention especially when it's busy. Treat your employees with more respect and give them breaks and better compensation.
