Pros
Some of the people there are cool. They provide oatmeal and ramen if you forget your lunch.
Cons
The company is constantly in survival mode. They are barely scraping by and they blame that on outside forces, which is partly true. What they don't seem to realize though is that their management is terrible. They say things like 'we have an open door policy' or 'our culture is very open and friendly'. None of that is true. Any time I tried to address something that I thought was important, I was shut down and never listened to. Any time I made a mistake I was insulted. I was belittled by my boss constanly. One way being that he would complain about my generation, saying because I am a millennial I need to have my hand held and be given step by step instructions. Really what I needed was any insight on what he wanted my priorities to be or what he expected from me, which he could not give because either he did not know or they changed almost daily. I can understand that because the company was struggling, many things were up in the air. The problem I had was that instead of taking that responsibility, I was blamed. I was by no means perfect, but my manager would never listen to me. I later came to find out that he saw all of my questions and comments as undermining his authority. They say they want someone to add to their 'culture' but really all my manager wanted was a mindless work robot. I dreaded going to work every day. Not to mention their BENEFITS are HORRIBLE, there is no where to move up in the company and they DO NOT PAY WELL.
