    Pros

nice people, well-being support baked into the culture, opportunities to make an impact, positive mission, inclusive

    Cons

low perks, low compensation, priorities constantly changing, lack of talented tech leadership, high turnover, low innovation, many things outdated, product not designed well to easily scale and not enough focus on addressing this, might have to spend a lot of time on tedious unchallenging problems, overburdened by keeping up with maintenance work and not enough space to focus on evolving tools/processes/systems/product to be more efficient in future. in my opinion, the company needs both more and higher paid devs in order to thrive in the future

Many of the "cons" have left this year, it used to feel toxic but doesn't lately

Great Work life balance, mediocre compensation

    Pros

-Great work life balance, really great. 1 month leave on top of holidays. Additionally they started adding in monthly Fridays off. -Tech stack recently became less legacy. -They promote from within almost entirely. -As an individual contributor they are focused on the end result, not seeing you in your chair typing. -Chill atmosphere, not a ton of pressure like everywhere else in the Seattle area. -More time with my family since no death-marches during code-deadlines. -My time is my greatest asset, and they respect that more than anyone in the area.

    Cons

-Expect to be 10-15% below market. But since I'm not working 60-80 hours like other devs in the city, I'm paid pretty well based on hours worked. They are a pay-lagger by design, but it evens out if you value your own time. -Removed the 10% bonus last year during covid, but still awarded it to their directors... -Started offering RSUs, but have no value as you have to burn almost the entire grant to offset taxes.
