Pros

Base Salary w/ Full benefits + Commission
Networking with Clients
Behind the scenes view of the manufacturing and retail business
Downtown DC is a nice place to work
Fellow underlings are down to earth.

Cons

Senior Management scrambles and leaves employees to pick up the slack.
Our Sales team revenue tanked 50% in 9 months and they left it to the employees to make the same goals in light of the reduced sales. Due to this many employees where let go to cut costs but they blamed the employees for not working hard enough. Priceless! Corporate Hy-jinx at their best.

Advice to Management

Listen to the advice of your clients who have been with you since the beginning. When all your supports are discouraging your choices take time to reflect on why that may be. Its ok to not have all the answers. Its not ok to keep making a bad situation worse.

    Pros

There are some very intelligent and experienced managers and employees. The industry is growing and LSI is well positioned in it.

    Cons

Internal communication needs to be clearer and less harsh. There is low moral and turnover is a regular occurrence for many of the teams.

    Advice to Management

Management needs to invest more in staff development and technology. LSI could also improve communication and synergies for internal business teams

I have been working at Liquidity Services full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

I've been able to gain direct business experience and work closely with industry pro's.
Very busy day to day but HR and management will still check in with you on your career goals.
Exciting stuff going on in the company - new business ventures and system overhauls.
Lots of opportunities to get experience.
Regular office events and charity drives.
Nice upscale office building in good location with free covered parking.
    Benefits and 401k match.

    Cons

One of the pros of working for this company is the entrepreneurial environment and the exciting ventures that are frequently in the works. However with the fast paced nature that comes with this it's not always clear what the current overall direction of the company is. There are some bumps along the way with this but everyone knows what they (individually) are supposed to do.

    Advice to Management

Seems like the focus is in the right direction. As you know a lot of people have worked hard this year and we've seen the business succeed. Keep on recognizing and rewarding. And let's make next year even more fun!
