I have been working at LiveOps as a contractor (More than 8 years)

Pros

Schedule flexibility, interpersonal refinement, and rewarded challenges

Cons

Vocal sweatshop, no transparency, unethical procedures, no growth opportunity, scarce product info, effort and pay is = to outsourcing only it's native

Advice to Management

Take a pay cut and contribute to the recession. Give growth and 'employee' opportunities for showmanship and longterm producers. Put more time and appreciation into your revenue generators instead of exploiting them and their remote circumstance. Have some dignity. It's obvious that you're leaching off of the concept of draining new energies (people who are new to, and see the freedom of schedule) to keep from compensating those that have tenure, a strong skill set, and expectations.

    flexible schedule, open 24 hrs decent pay

    Cons

    hard to get hours, have metrics to get good call volume, can let you go for no reason do not depend on as main income

    I worked at LiveOps full-time

    Pros

    Interesting opportunities in the market. Contact center is changing. LiveOps has a proven set of technologies and people. Opportunities for growth if you can make an impact.

    Cons

    Unclear strategy from the top. Management team all seems like ex-Sybase people now. CEO lives in another city. Trying to succeed in too many things at the same time. Lots of people leaving, lots of people coming in.

    Advice to Management

    Focus. Reward people who actually perform. Better accountability for senior staff. Get in touch with actual customers.
