I worked at Lloyds Banking Group as an intern (Less than a year)

Pros

Great People.
Decent Benefits Package.
Good Outlook for Company.
Strong Community feel.

Cons

Senior management don't always make practical decisions.
Money gets lost in governance and not always up to the standard required.

Advice to Management

Try to stay in touch with the workforce. PMs, BAs and RMs need to be heard.

I have been working at Lloyds Banking Group full-time (More than 8 years)

    Pros

Reasonably secure despite market. Pay has been upgraded recently at manager / associate director level. Decent perks & holidays. For a PM there is generally flexibility on working hours, location etc.

    Cons

Pay is still lower than some of the competition - be prepared for a consultant reporting to you on twice your salary (not contractor). There are definite differences between the divisions & roles in terms of expectation and reward. Flexibility is a strength but too much still depends on local managers expectations / bias.

    Advice to Management

Keep doing what you're doing but it will take a while to earn trust. There is a lot of change fatigue - consider it non-critical changes could be phased to avoid disengagement, particularly organisational change.

I worked at Lloyds Banking Group full-time (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Good working environment in IT area and can be a good package if you are considered to be an above average performer

    Cons

Bloated appraisal process that isn't as objective as it pretends to be; laddering takes place but management denies that it does or isn't very open about it!
    Outsourcing IT to India
Complex IT environment as a result of multiple mergers

    Advice to Management
