Pros

Excellent benefits package. Work life balance is outstanding, including working from home. Company supports that with laptops and vpn system.

Cons

Auto industry has been down which has lead to a lot of uncertainty.
Personal growth is not easy due to the relatively small size of the company.

    Pros

Most people are fun, free access to a gym, huge windows let lots of sunshine in.
    Office is Nice, recently renovated.

    Cons

Bad pay for the amount of work and responsibilities, management keep on changing and a lot of very important follow-ups like employee development get lost or ignored.
General feeling is you get exploited, company might close this branch, all are very sceptical towards repeated pep talk from management that everything Will be fine with time, reputation of the company is completely damaged with the ridiculously High number of recalls and approximate customer service. Generally speaking, very disorganized place. Not bad if you Want part Time, i guess.

    Advice to Management

You should do surveys like this one, establish a more direct connection with the employees, dont just rely on the existing channels, lots of dissatisfaction, your best people are leaving, one by one, so , either you dont care, and let it be, or maybe try to improve so it wont happen again and again?

  2. "Great place to simply collect a pay check ... steer clear if you are seeking advancement."

    Pros

As far as sales jobs go, it is fairly easy and you can definitely attend to your family needs.
Great job for a single parent as you can pretty much set your own schedule.
Good benefits - health, dental, 401k etc..

    Cons

Zero real incentive to work hard... quotas are supposedly adjusted to market conditions but are still very detached from reality. Just make sure to negotiate a solid base salary and you should be fine.
No opportunity to grow with the company unless you are based or willing to relocate to Boston and even then I gather the pay scale is sub par.
No marketing support whatsoever, the company relies on the popularity of the brand to sustain sales momentum which doesn't work.
Middle management likes to use intimidation as a motivator which comes across as a major weakness in my book.
Lack of respect amongst managers... competition has brought out the worst in them.
Just not a place most of my colleagues are proud to be a part of... more or less hanging around until things get better in the job market.

    Advice to Management

Conduct an employee survey and then read it. If necessary, hire a consultant to help you extrapolate the bottom line which is that a lot of us are simply collecting a pay check at this point because there is no clear roadmap for those who seek advancement.
