I have been working at Lockheed Martin full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Some truly great people, very exciting cutting edge technology, proud accomplishments, very competitive and challenging work environment, being a part of history may be a reward in itself

Cons

with high expectations and high demands can come a terrific amount of pressure, often long arduous hours, often long periods of travel

Advice to Management

Better honest appreciation of individual effort of those who go above and beyond

I worked at Lockheed Martin full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Reasonable benefits, pay, and flex time.

    Cons

Expect you to make up all appointments due to having flex time - it's like being an hourly worker.
Annual appraisals pit employee against employee. Leads scape goat their team members, but management does not investigate. Most emplyees seems unhappy at all sites I have dealt with. Only 10-20% of emplyees win most awards and get raises above inflation (and yet they wonder why nobody goes into engineering anymore!).

I worked at Lockheed Martin full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

    Very smart colleagues
Challenging projects that push the envelope
Opportunity to innovate within programmatic constraints
    Decent benefits

    Cons

Focus on "afforadability" means salary brick ceiling
Senior technical people have been encouraged to leave and pushed out by AFR/RIF
Perils of defense spending and Congressional games

    Advice to Management

Value your employees at all salary grades, stop chopping experience to save cash. And keep overhead rates competitive!
