I have been working at Lockheed Martin full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Great organizational culture, annual health funds

Cons

This job is very stressful. From day one, you will be finding work to do just to keep busy and then you'll be transitioned into the role. Management encourages you to "ask questions" to learn and most people are always available to help. The workload is very heavy since teams are very spread thin due to company budget cuts.

Advice to Management

Spread the workload around to more experienced personnel.

I have been working at Lockheed Martin full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

I thrived and enjoyed the challenging work at Lockheed Martin.

    Cons

New management was brought in that had little experience performing the actual work. Hence, being-know-it-alls, they failed employees miserably. Also, HR was hell bent on dramantically increasing the number of white women in mangement, no matter how deficient in competence the women were or how much the didn't want to be in managment. There is no mechanism to get rid of bad managers. There are in place until the retire.

    Advice to Management

Put good managers in management. Don't use genetilia as criteria for management positions. Fire bad managers.

    Cons

absolutely no work life balance... weekends, nights, at work at 5am.

    Advice to Management

need to help grow your younger employees and make them stay.
