I have been working at Lockheed Martin full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Very secure position for an employee who doesn't look at porn on their work computer and refrains from discriminatory language or actions.

    Cons

    Incredibly high stress
Military environment poorly compatable with civilian employees
Multiple layers of management expecting direct reports from anyone below them
Poor understanding of bottle knecks, not just on the production facility, but within business functions
Customer demands do not reflect customer budget

    Advice to Management

Read The Goal by Eliyahu Goldratt and realize that it applies to more than just the production facility.
Realize that your company is not a military organization and bring in managers without military experience to help you understand and support your civilian workforce.
Please, for the sake of all that is good in this world, improve morale.
