I worked at Lockheed Martin full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Very interesting and capable products. Promotion of patriotic values. Paid tuition benefit (although, it comes and goes).

    Cons

Executive Management's ability to run the company is heavily diluted with incapable, unintelligent, and under-qualified personnel who've been placed into positions based solely upon their gender (i.e., female).

    Advice to Management

Start hiring the best qualified people for positions, and stop promoting your version of "Cultural Diversity." You've completely ruined the company by promoting under qualified people into key positions simply because of their gender (female). Also, your employee rating system is the worst ever devised. It is not only the most subjective system possible, but it is demoralizing to your best employees, while artificially keeping poor performers ratings over-inflated. It really is the worst ever. In fact,it is so bad that one former Astronauts was advised by the Loughead family to stay away from the company because of the unethical (near criminal) HR practices.

I have been working at Lockheed Martin full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

High tech balanced with a desire to help the customer solve difficult problems. Ethics is at the core of all Lockheed Martin does while balancing the need to preform a job with budget to the specifications of the contract.

    Cons

There are those in the Lockheed Martin management chain of command who don't really follow through with the true principles of the company. This is not unlike many companies, but is really disappointing when they try to get rid of the older workers.

    Advice to Management

Build and grow from on the strength and breadth of not only the new workers, but also the more established work force.
