I have been working at Lockheed Martin full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Lockheed is the largest defense contractor in the world, the company provides all benefits. Training opportunities can be open to employees who are wiling to pay back the time with the firm.

    Cons

Since its so large it takes a community to get things done. The company appears to have many divisions with a convoluted structure of management which sometimes can be daunting

    Advice to Management

    Streamline human resources activities.

I have been working at Lockheed Martin as a contractor (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Great pay and benefits but I need a job when I go home.

    Cons

They seen to hire people in lead Engineer slots that have never ran a team before which always makes work harder for everyone. The team have to pull together to over come the weak management link. They also only transfer the bad apples around to other departments instead of letting them go.

    Advice to Management

Lockheed managers that manage departments from the states that have departments overseas need to become more involved with the personal and not just look at everyone as just save and submit for the government .
