I worked at Lockheed Martin full-time (More than 10 years)

Pros

Benefits are well above average.

Cons

Not an ethical company, just another large (extremely large) corporation.

Advice to Management

Break the company up into smaller parts so that it can be more agile and efficient and save the taxpayers money.

I have been working at Lockheed Martin full-time

    Pros

Good company to join if you want to move around company wide because they are a huge global company

    Cons

Lockheed Martin Space Operations in Houston is way to top heavy, meaning they have way too many managers and leads, very bad managers and leads at that. They also make you donate 5 hours before you can earn OT (so you don't earn OT until you work over 45 hours).

    Advice to Management

Clean house. Too many managers play favorites, it's a bad sign that a hiring manager hires only cute young females from his alma mater. Leads and managers shouldn't be made leads just because they've been there forever.

    Pros

The opportunity to do new things and learn is abundant. Colleagues in work group and throughout company are a pleasure with whom to work.

    Cons

Job security fluctuates due to budget constraints. At times change becomes difficult due to long memories. Lots of employees waiting to retire.
