    Pros

Lockton has the community's respect. The flip side is that when you are interviewing for your next job, no one understands why you left, and you cannot really say why you did not like your job.

Lockton is extremely sensitive to their clients' needs, and they provide top-level service. It's great to be able to do the best for your client. They offer competitive salaries, and further compensate their employees with bonuses, and more.

    Cons

There were some glaring cons that overshadowed the significant pros. Overall, their management team lacks training and skills. They know their industry very well, but they do not know how to manage or motivate their employees, except by fear or money. There is not a sense of being a team member because one is more concerned with staying out of the politics and keeping their job.

    Advice to Management

The nepotism has to go--at all levels.

    Pros

Quarterly meetings are held to let the employees know how the company is doing financially, so expectations are managed where raises/bonuses, etc. are concerned and they are always upfront about that. They care about their employees and understand when personal situations come up and time off needs to be taken unexpectedly.

    Cons

There are career paths for advancement within the organization, but no direction or help from upper management to help you achieve these goals. The annual reviews are not done in a timely manner and, when they are done, they are not really "reviews" to help you know where your strengths and weaknesses are, but just something to turn into HR, so you can say you've had your annual review.

    Advice to Management

Help your employees succeed and move up within the company by working recognizing their strengths, helping them improve their weaknesses, and following through with career paths for advancement that have been put in place.
