I worked at Logicalis full-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Flexible work schedule good office environment good people wide suite of products and for the most part everyone had a relatively positive attitude

Cons

Takes a long time to build a sales funnel, must be able to support yourself on little salary while your building your business and you must have connections within the industry to leverage otherwise it's a slow process

    Pros

Diverse Experience Opportunities, Easy Hiring Process, Very nice facility, awesome employee perks and great benefits. This is a great entry level to mid-level tech company.

    Cons

Micro Management is very common at this place. Wages are not up to industry standard either. Very high stress level.

    Advice to Management

Stop micro-managing your employees... You have lost many to it. Allow your employees to prove they are grown adults and can manage their own time.

I have been working at Logicalis full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

They do have flush-able toilets, the walls and roof keep the rain off and the cold out. The have great heating, and the sweat shop is awesome. The phones and faxes and printers work well.

    Cons

The Poseidon Adventure is a 1972 American action-adventure disaster film, directed by Ronald Neame. The plot centers on the SS Poseidon, an aged luxury liner from the golden age of travel, on her final voyage from New York City to Athens before being sent to the scrapyard. On New Year's Eve, she is overturned by a tsunami caused by an underwater earthquake. Passengers and crew are trapped inside and a rebellious preacher attempts to lead a small group of survivors to safety.

The problem centers around the fact that the culture which fostered by previous management from two years ago, has been replaced by management which is dishonest, self centered, and top heavy. The management has repeatedly not listened to its employees, and for employees to get what they feel they are due, they have to threaten to quit.

There are a few preachers like in the movie, which preach a good game, but then say that it is what it is and its not changing. Management has become top heavy, they add more management each and every day, but nothing gets better, and more importantly because there is so much management, they cannot see the overall affect because the employees comments are lost in the shuffle.

There is a storm brewing under the ship too, just like in the movie... unfortunately the ship did not see it coming, and neither is the management. They have been warned repeatedly, and new programs started by Netarx employees who wish to climb the corporate ladder are apparently the cause. Netarx was purchased by Logicalis, but unfortunately this cancer is life threatening and will kill the patient unless the parent company in the UK is warned and intercedes.

Upper management should remember everyone has a boss, and it is sad to see this happen.

PM's, Delivery Engineers, Presales, and AE are all looking to find a life raft....

I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy.

Over the last 2 years the company culture has changed dramatically.

Logicalis was a company two years ago which was energized, highly regarded in the industry and whose management and employees followed great leaders. In the last two years a purchased company 'Netarx' and its self indulgent management have like a cancer infected this company.

The company has had a turnover of upper management, and added so much middle management that it has become so top heavy that if it were a ship it would have flipped over.

Employees all over the company are reaching for life rafts and or life preservers and are fleeing like rats leaving a sinking ship. Those that have not seen this coming, are either hoping for change, trying to be optimistic or have recently had to nearly quit to have their needs or anxieties addressed.

Most PM's, Delivery Engineers, and some Pre-Sales staff are looking at other opportunities and desire to leave.

I concur with another individual here, there are some of the most talented Pre Sales and Delivery people in the business working for Logicalis but unless you are an Account Manager you get zero credit, recognition, or raises/bonuses. It's very common practice at Logicalis for an Account Manager to literally do nothing but forward emails and collect a commission check. The Pre Sales staff does everything for them. The company is a public company but their accounting and bonus structure is about the most absurd thing I have ever witnesses. They have no justification for what they do other than "It's that way and that's the way it is staying".

The entire executive team should be removed and the UK should wake up and fire leading management, they talk out of both sides of their mouth. In our All hands meetings they tell everyone how much money the company made and how profitable they are, and how they want to focus on services, etc.

The very next day they go through and re-evaluate everyone's pay and lower pay rates to be in line with industry standards.

Top heavy: There are about 40 VP's in the company, no clue what half of them actually do. You cant get anything done in under a weeks time, including getting email responses.

Overall it is the most frustrating place to work, and it is a shame because there is a tremendous amount of talent in the Pre Sales and delivery resources at Logicalis. Unfortunately those that know and understand technology are not in the drivers seats, and upper and middle management is stagnant.

    Advice to Management

Advice to the parent company and or the UK branch, replace upper and middle management before its too late.

Respect your employees. Treat everyone equally. Reward success. Pay fairly. You are not doing it. Understand your employees are not slaves, they have lives, even if they are paid by salary.

I concur with the other review: Your delivery engineers, and sales staff are the ones in front of the customers keeping them happy during the installs. AE's are great for new business. The delivery consultants are great at keeping business.

Additionally: Certain new departments will be the end of this company. Remember which company bought which, and understand that perhaps the needs of the many (employees) outway the needs of the few (management).
