I have been working at Los Angeles USD part-time (More than a year)

Pros

large number of potential work sites.

Cons

teaching credentials required for positions that should require business credentials.

Advice to Management

expand perception that business professionals also need to have education credentials to satisfy business positions with the district. we should not need a teaching credential for a management position in lieu of or in addition to an MBA for example.

I have been working at Los Angeles USD full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

    1) Great place to work with kids.
    2) All benefits are taken care of.
    3) My school culture was great when I taught there.

    Cons

    1) As title says, very difficult to get an answer sometimes.
    2) Way too many offices. I'm not sure what all of them do.
    3) A "us vs. district" mentality at school sites.

    Advice to Management

I really think LAUSD needs to just break up into smaller districts in order for students, teachers, and families to be better served.
