Store quality varies wildly from store to store. Some markets have extremely high senior leader turnover, a phenomenon which began when the current CEO onboarded. Some of the initiatives the company has launched need revised, particularly everything surrounding logistics and freight flow, in store replenishment processes, etc. The company relies too much on brute forcing their way through freight issues at a store level. Supervisors are glorified complaint takers and power equipment operators. I've also been laid off by this company in spectacularly borked fashion by the previous CEO. The company didn't intend for us to find out on our own, but it happened anyway when Lee Hect and Harrison, the law firm that represents Lowe's in the event of mass layoffs, mistakenly used UPS to send out verified notices of separation/severance packages. This meant everyone who was getting fired KNEW they were getting fired a full week in advance.Continue reading
