I have been working at Lowe's full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The experience this role presents is beneficial

    Cons

Training is preached to be best avenue yet every new roll-out, which there are many, never come with supportive training. On-line job aids if we're lucky, otherwise, baptism by fire hydrant.

    Advice to Management

Get engaged and your associates will follow.

    I worked at Lowe's part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

The customers are generally upbeat and the products are great for the home and the prices are reasonable. Generally folks are intelligent and the training is thorough; you have to be fairly smart to learn the system, but it becomes easy after using it every day. If you know how to sell, you can move up in the company. There are some medical and vacation benefits.

    Cons

Our store was slow many times of the year and the hours were cut to a level that was unbearable. The boredom set in and the cat fights began.
You are subject to the weather and the bugs at times, there is stooping and lifting.

    Advice to Management

I would recommend hiring so that you can give adequate hours to your employees. If you schedule a meeting, try not to allow management to browbeat or air their list of things that make them angry. It is better to be proactive and encouraging.
