Approves of CEO

I worked at Lowe's full-time (More than 3 years)

Pros

Good salaries (unless you are an Administrative Specialist or Merchandising Specialist in Training)

Cons

The company will move you around to whatever position they want you in, regardless of your preferences or what you went there for. Beginning in early 2012, the culture became one of instability and constant movement and change (not necessarily positive change, just change, like they are experimenting), with departments being shifted non stop from one group to another. My department was under 3 different VPs in one year. Everyone wonders if they will have a job tomorrow. It is very unsettling. Reorganization over and over and over and over.

Advice to Management

People actually do think about jobs before they apply for them, and they apply for the job they want. Putting them in another role, even though they might have the skills for it, is not going to make happy employees.

    I worked at Lowe's full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

If you are in desperate need of a job. Or if you want to work a low wage, not enjoyable job for a long time, but eventually you will make your way up to a management position and make pretty good money but extremely long hours.

    Cons

Micro-managing. Bosses were jerks and I know everyone says that, but out of everywhere that I've worked the management at Lowe's was definitely the WORST.

    Advice to Management

Practice what you preach! Don't expect other's to do things that you have not done and are not willing to do! Give employees better raises, and better incentive for working there and the performance would increase.
